For the second time this year BT are increasing line rental so, from the 3rd December 2011 BT line rental will be £14.60 per month. For customers not paying by Direct Debit, there will be an additional charge of £1.89. However, BT have pledged that following the December hike, they will freeze line rental costs for the next 2 years.
BT have introduced a new way to reduce the cost of your BT line rental to just £10 per month. To receive this discount, customers need to pay 12 months line rental in one advance debit or credit card payment of £120 (equivalent to £10 per month). BT Phone & Broadband offers

BT Basic is only £14.40 per quarter and this price includes £4.50 to spend on calls. There is no minimum contract period so you're free to change your calling plan and package at any time.
